MY LATEST RESEARCH & CONSULTANCY

Isolation and characterization of novel microorganisms from soil/water/industrial waste for antibiotic production/ novel enzyme/metabolite production followed by optimization of parameters to improve its production at laboratory scale. The isolated microbes/enzymes can be further explored for their bioremediation ability to degrade emerging contaminants like drugs/ antibiotics/ dyes etc.

Development of an efficient process for purification of C1 INH (Process yield >50%) without any change in its physiological conditions so that remaining plasma (after capture of C1-INH) can be used for fractionation to purify other plasma products. This will reduce the cost of the process. Optimization of two dedicated virus clearance steps to make the product virus safe. Evaluation of the process robustness at small scale (1-5L plasma per batch) in consistency batches. Scale-up of the process up to 50-100L plasma per batch to make the developed process suitable for manufacturing.

Air pollution and population health is one of the very important environmental and public health issues. Economic development, urbanization, transportation, and rapid population growth are major sources of air pollution in large cities. Air pollution levels in developed countries have been slowly decreasing in recent decades. However, in developing countries and in countries in transition, air pollution levels are still at relatively high levels, though the levels have been gradually decreasing or have remained stable during rapid economic development. In recent years, several hundred epidemiological studies have emerged showing adverse health effects associated with short-term and long-term exposure to air pollutants.
